JOHN WESLEY MCCAIN

DEXTER -- John Wesley McCain, 102, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 25, 1893, at Bertrand, son of Levi and Liza Jane Malone McCain. He and Pearl Malone were married April 25, 1921. She preceded him in death Aug. 12, 1991.

McCain lived most of his life in Stoddard County and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Welton McCain of Huntsville, Ala., and C.J. McCain of Bloomfield; three daughters, Ivaun Douglas of Dexter, Ileta Cannon of West Plains and Cletha Pipkin of Rockford, Ill.; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.

Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gene Partin will officiate, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield.
