ST. CHARLES -- Ivah Scism, 94, of St. Charles died Monday, Dec. 25, 1995, at her home. She was born Sept. 14, 1901, at Bloomfield, daughter of Thomas and Minnie Moore Baskerville. She and Thatcher Scism were married. Scism was a member of the First United Methodist Church in St. Charles. She also was a 50-year member of the Order of the Easter Star Chapter 137 in Sikeston and was a former president of the Federated Women's Club...

ST. CHARLES -- Ivah Scism, 94, of St. Charles died Monday, Dec. 25, 1995, at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1901, at Bloomfield, daughter of Thomas and Minnie Moore Baskerville. She and Thatcher Scism were married.

Scism was a member of the First United Methodist Church in St. Charles. She also was a 50-year member of the Order of the Easter Star Chapter 137 in Sikeston and was a former president of the Federated Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Bert Scism of St. Charles; a sister, Edna Waldron of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Hank Foster will officiate, with burial in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
