HARLEN M. HAERTLING

NEW WELLS -- Harlen M. Haertling, 58, of New Wells died Friday, Dec. 29, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Jan. 26, 1937, at New Wells to Theo and Olga Koch Haertling.

He married Ruth Huey on Sept. 2, 1961, at New Wells. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Mark Haertling of New Wells; two daughters, Kim Haertling of New Wells and Amber Kuehn of Jackson; three brothers, Rueben Haertling of New Wells, Elton "Fletch" Haertling of Frohna and Clinton Haertling of Perryville; three sisters, Alida Evans and Lorna Steffens, both of Altenburg, and Lorene Mayfield of Patton; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Haertling was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells at 2 p.m. today, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
