Elaine Cathryn Suedekum, 77, 2801 Bloomfield, died Sunday, July 3, 1994, at her home.
She was born May 21, 1917, in Cape Girardeau, son of Fred and Marie Weiss Niemeier. She and Herbert Albert Suedekum were married Dec. 31, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died Jan. 16, 1970.
Suedekum was a graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She was a secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church, and then was a secretary 10 years at VIP Industries, retiring in 1982. She was a former member of Trinity Church.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Suedekum of Cape Girardeau, Jerry Suedekum of Jackson; a daughter, Janice Wilhoit of McAlester, Okla.; a brother, Richard Niemeier of St. Charles; a sister, Freda Suedekum of Nashville, Tenn., and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Louis Launhardt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
