SCOTT CITY -- Stella Ruth Dickerson, 76, of Scott City, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, July 5, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Mississippi County, daughter of Virgil and Lilie Gertrude Atchinson Stain.

She was a resident of Sikeston most of her life. She had attended the First Baptist Church in Scott City and was formerly employed as a sales clerk at Homestead Distributing and as a waitress at Imperial Lanes.

In September 1936, she was married to Bob Dickerson at Sikeston. He preceded her in death March 19, 1968.

She is survived by one son, Robert Larry Dickerson of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Donna Sue Hodges of Scott City; one brother, T.O. Stain of Franklin, Ky.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Godwin officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
