PERRYVILLE -- Lena J. Powell, 74, of Perryville, died Monday, July 4, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Caledonia, daughter of John Thomas and Elizabeth Ellen Wisdom Brooks. She and Harold D. Powell were married June 16, 1967. He died Aug. 3, 1977.

Survivors include a son, Paul Dodd of Sedgewickville; a daughter, Grace Hayes of Portage, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Nancy Jackson of Danville, Ill.; a stepson, David Powell of Danville; a sister, Betty Neal of Bland; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, seven brothers and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

Friends may also call at Britton Funeral Home in Steelville on Friday from noon until service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Bob Coleman will officiate, with burial in Davisville Cemetery.
