James Onice Wills, 78, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, July 5, 1994, at his home.

He was born Aug. 27, 1915, at Wappapello, son of John F. and Mary Fox Wills. He and Floy M. Croell were married Sept. 17, 1938, at Greenville.

Wills was a farm equipment salesman at H&S Equipment in Jackson, retiring in 1981. He was a member and trustee of First General Baptist Church.

He was a member of Harold O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 AF&AM, and was past master in 1972; was member and pastor patron of Cape Rock Chapter 60 Order of Eastern Star; a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of St. Louis; High Twelve Club 548 of Cape Girardeau; Sword of Bunker Hill 43 of Jackson, and member and past president of Capaha Scottish Rite Club of Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Wills of Cape Girardeau, Robert Wills of O'Fallon; a daughter, Margaret Makins of Uniontown; a brother, Maurice Wills of Cottage Hills, Ill.; four sisters, Bessie Brown of Kennett, Jessie Southers of Clio, Mich., Freeda Bolin of Moro, Ill., Margie Mayberry of Collinsville, Ill., and seven granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Masonic service will be at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Griesemer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
