MARBLE HILL -- Lowell Bazzell, 81, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, July 7, 1994, at the Bond Nursing Care Center in Marble Hill.

He was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Bollinger County, son of Rudolph and Ethel Crites Bazzell.

He married Mildred Basham, June 19, 1932.

Bazzell retired from Olin Corporation. He was a member of the Hahn Chapel Church in Marble Hill.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dwight Bazzell of Los Almos, N.M., Rick Bazzell of Marble Hill; two brothers, Paul Bazzell of Wood River, Ill., and Charles Bazzell of Bethalto, Ill.; a sister, Marie Brown of Alton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Huff and the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating.

Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
