GRACE TRICKEY RETHERFORD

Grace Trickey Retherford, 94, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday July 9, 1994 at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born Sept. 15, 1899 at Pocahontas, the daughter of Marion and Nettie Metlock McClard. On May 2, 1918 she married Walter A. Trickey. He died on Feb. 1, 1953, and she later married Thomas F. Retherford on Oct. 13, 1956. He died in 1976...

Grace Trickey Retherford, 94, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday July 9, 1994 at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Sept. 15, 1899 at Pocahontas, the daughter of Marion and Nettie Metlock McClard. On May 2, 1918 she married Walter A. Trickey. He died on Feb. 1, 1953, and she later married Thomas F. Retherford on Oct. 13, 1956. He died in 1976.

She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by: two granddaughters, Mrs. Donna Doggett Horner of Santee, Calif. and Mrs. Cindy Doggett Pozin of San Diego, Calif.; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by two daughters, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
