PERRYVILLE -- Edward O. Swope, 84, died Sunday, July 10, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 11, 1909 at Charleston. He is the son of George W. Swope and Elvie E. Stacks. He was married July 13, 1948 in St. Louis to Mary L. Steadman who survives.

Edward Swope is survived by four half sisters, Ruth McDonald of Farmington, Janelle Evans of California, Pauline Cantrell of Springfield, Va., and Vera Dean of Spring City, Tenn.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 223 and Eastern Star Cape Rock # 60.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville with Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Masonic service will be at 7:30 p.m. He will be buried in Stanley, N.C.
