BILLY C. RYAN SR.

SIKESTON -- Billy C. Ryan Sr., 68, of Sikeston, died Saturday, July 9, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 7, 1925, in Sikeston, son of Thomas B. and Ida Mae Williams Ryan. He and Reba E. Ellison were married Dec. 24, 1943, in Sikeston.

Ryan was a general contractor, and co-owner and operator of Ryan Construction Co. 18 years.

He was a former member of Sikeston City Council, served on Sikeston Industrial Development Corp., and former board member of Sikeston Chamber of Commerce.

Ryan was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church, had served as deacon, Sunday School superintendent, and taught Junior Boys Bible Class. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Tom, Joe and Robert Ryan of Sikeston; a granddaughter, and great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
