CHARLESTON -- John Wesley Terry, 81, of Cunningham, Ky., died Tuesday, July 19, 1994, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.

He was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Carlisle County, Ky., son of Robert I. and Geneva Wilson Terry.

He married Hazel Hooper, Dec. 6, 1934.

Terry was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.

He lived in Cunningham most of his life, where he served as Postmaster until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Zoar Baptist Church in Cunningham.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Terry of Conway, Ark.; a brother, Robert Terry of Member, Ky., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Ky. Burial will follow.
