SIKESTON -- Samuel Warfield, 81, of Sikeston, died Saturday, July 23, 1994, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born April 4, 1913, in Natchez, Miss., son of Elisha and Anna Miller Warfield. He married the former Nadine Williams.

Warfield was a partner in Warfield Truck Lines.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael, Sam Jr., Steven and Joe Warfield of Sikeston; four daughters, Bernice Howard, Gail Emanuel, Connie Echols and Paula Bryant of Sikeston; two sisters, Mary Roberts and Ann Anderson of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Bethel AME Church from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gail Emanuel officiating. Burial will be in Warfield Memorial Cemetery at Oran.
