BLOOMFIELD -- Sarah Eula Clayton, 74, of Bloomfield died Thursday, July 28, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Dec. 30, 1919 at Smyrna, Ark., the daughter of James and Milly Bridges Pack. On Feb. 23, 1938, she married Edgar Clayton. He preceded her in death in 1961. She had formerly been a resident of Matthews and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield...

BLOOMFIELD -- Sarah Eula Clayton, 74, of Bloomfield died Thursday, July 28, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 30, 1919 at Smyrna, Ark., the daughter of James and Milly Bridges Pack.

On Feb. 23, 1938, she married Edgar Clayton. He preceded her in death in 1961. She had formerly been a resident of Matthews and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

She is survived by five sons, James A. Clayton, New Madrid, Richard Clayton, Northport, Ala., David Clayton, San Clemente, Calif., Donald and Eugene Clayton, both of Sikeston; three daughters, Sharon Hood, Bloomfield, Eva Carter, Cape Girardeau, Ruth Ann Stepp, Rameoville, Ill.; two brothers, Thomas Pack, California, and Alvin Pack, Arizona; five sisters, Melva Dunlap, of the state of Washington, Flossie Stump and Ressie McDaniel, both of California, Annie Lee Sells, Sikeston, Eula Martindale, New Madrid; 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

One brother, one sister and one grandchild preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home at Bloomfield Sunday at 5 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Eskew and the Rev. Dale McFarland officiating. Burial will be in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery at Advance.
