REBECCA SIMONTON

Rebecca S. (Becky) Simonton, 53, 510 S. Middle, died Friday Aug. 19, 1994 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Sept. 21, 1940 in Caruthersville, the daughter of Clifford M. and Cecile Medlin Christian. On Sept. 21, 1974, she and Ray Simonton were married in Blytheville, Ark.

She worked at the Brown Shoe Co. and later worked for a lawyer as a legal secretary.

Survivors include: her husband; her mother, Cecile Christian of Caruthersville; two sons, John Robert Eldge and Roger Wayne Eldge, both of Caruthersville; one daughter, Sabra Lynn Creed of Caruthersville; three brothers, Donald Leon Christian of Redlands, Calif., John W. Christian of St. Louis, and Bill G. Christian of Emporia, Kan.; three sisters, Wanda McCall, Brenda Darnell, and Patricia Whitson, all of Caruthersville; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating.
