BURFORDVILLE -- Private funeral service for Hermet "Dick" Muegge of Burfordville will be held today at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. BURFORDVILLE -- Private funeral service for Hermet "Dick" Muegge of Burfordville will be held today at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.

There is no visitation.

Muegge, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 14, 1905, in St. Louis, son of Frank and Marie Muegge. He and Mildred Bird were married in December 1924. She preceded him in death. He later married Hazel Randolph April 1, 1933.

Muegge owned and operated Muegge Pharmacy in St. Louis, retiring in 1960.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margaret Manning of Jackson, Mary Parolin of St. Louis; a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
