CARL GROVES

WYATT -- Carl Groves, 61, of Wyatt, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 1994, at the home of a son here.

He was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Mississippi County, son of John Wallace and Mattie Virginia Brashears Groves.

Groves was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three sons, Emmett Groves of Bertrand, Michael Groves of Wappapello, A.J. Groves Sr. of Wyatt; four brothers, J.L. Groves of Wyatt, Terry and Gregory Groves of Scott City, Richard Groves of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dixie Brazis of Pontiac, Mich., and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Meeks officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the veterans honor guard in Poplar Bluff.
