ADVANCE -- Cecile Della Young Crawford, 94, of Advance died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1994, at the Advance Nursing and Residential Care Center. She was born Sept. 25, 1899, in Sandborn, Indiana, the daughter of John Will and Emily VanMatre McDaniel. She was a homemaker. ADVANCE -- Cecile Della Young Crawford, 94, of Advance died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1994, at the Advance Nursing and Residential Care Center.

She was born Sept. 25, 1899, in Sandborn, Indiana, the daughter of John Will and Emily VanMatre McDaniel.

She was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Richmond Chapel Church near McGee and later became a member of the First Baptist Church at Delta.

She married Rev. Robert Thomas Young in 1918 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1974. She married John Crawford Aug. 15, 1980, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1981.

Survivors include five daughters, Cleo Haddock and Rachel Earon, both of Granite City, Ill., Edna Jackson of Advance, Mildred Wilhite of Chaffee and Wilma Hinkle of Greenville, Tenn.; two stepsons, John Crawford Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Bob Crawford of Jackson; one stepdaughter, Pauline Dalton, Florissant; one sister, Sarah Underwood, Clarksville; 28 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one brother, three sisters and one grandson.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Morgan Funeral Home here.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Eldo Eaker officiating and the Rev. Rudy Pittman assisting. Burial will be in the Richmond Chapel Cemetery.
