ADVANCE -- Jacob "Clyde" Bright, 83, of Advance, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 12, 1911, near Leora, son of Grover and Sophia Knop Bright. He and Hazel Overbey were married May 2, 1936, at Dexter.

Bright was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Wesley Bright of Jackson; four sisters, Florence Wilson, Myrtle Morice and Freda Tucker of Dexter, Bernice Kelly of Florida; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
