MATTHEWS -- Dorothy J. Gentry, 85, of Matthews, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 1994, at Sells Rest Home. She was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Matthews, daughter of James F. and Dora Harper Waters. She and Bert E. Gentry were married Sept. 30, 1925, at Morley. Formerly of Sikeston, she was a volunteer many years at Missouri Delta Medical Center there. MATTHEWS -- Dorothy J. Gentry, 85, of Matthews, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 1994, at Sells Rest Home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Matthews, daughter of James F. and Dora Harper Waters. She and Bert E. Gentry were married Sept. 30, 1925, at Morley.

Formerly of Sikeston, she was a volunteer many years at Missouri Delta Medical Center there. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston and its Phoebe Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Edward Gentry of St. Louis; two daughters, Jacqueline Wyrick of St. Louis, Ann Dumay of Leawood, Kan.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park at Sikeston.
