MARTHA J. CHRISTIAN

DEXTER -- Funeral service for Martha Jo Christian of Dexter will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate, with burial in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.

Christian, 55, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1994, at her home.

She was born March 4, 1939, in Randolph, Miss., daughter of Bluford and Maggie Lena Dillard Warren. She and Jesse Lavern Christian were married April 4, 1954.

Christian was formerly of the Parma area, moving to Dexter in 1980. She had worked at Brown Shoe Co. 25 years.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Don, Vernon and Thomas Christian of Dexter; three daughters, Peggy Moody and Norma Christian of Dexter, Judy Sadler of Bloomfield; three brothers, Grover Warren of Randolph, Trubert Warren of Haulka, Miss., David Warren of Wood River, Ill.; two sisters, Doris Palmer of Randolph, Melba Christian of Dexter, and 15 grandchildren.
