PULASKI, Ill. -- Arthur E. Vines, 76, of Pulaski, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 23, 1918, in Alto Pass, son of Jacob Warren and Ida Mae Vines. He married the former Rita Miller. Vines was owner of the former Vines Garage in Mounds, retiring in 1980. He was a member, deacon and former trustee of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II...

PULASKI, Ill. -- Arthur E. Vines, 76, of Pulaski, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 23, 1918, in Alto Pass, son of Jacob Warren and Ida Mae Vines. He married the former Rita Miller.

Vines was owner of the former Vines Garage in Mounds, retiring in 1980. He was a member, deacon and former trustee of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gayle Brown of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Glenn Vines of Waterman; a sister, Norma Dawley of Anna, and a stepgrandson.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge after 5 p.m. today, and after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Church, with the Revs. R. Loren Robinson and Herman Painter officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
