JACKSON -- Margaret "Puddy" Hoffmeister, 81, of Jackson, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Louis G. and Ida Blackman Loos. She and Robert W. Hoffmeister were married Nov. 6, 1937, in Jackson. He died Aug. 11, 1993...

JACKSON -- Margaret "Puddy" Hoffmeister, 81, of Jackson, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Louis G. and Ida Blackman Loos. She and Robert W. Hoffmeister were married Nov. 6, 1937, in Jackson. He died Aug. 11, 1993.

Hoffmeister was a bookkeeper at the former Loos and Hoffmeister Construction Co. She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and its Friendship Circle, American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson, and Cape County Stroke Support Group.

Survivors include a brother, Louis "Bud" Loos of Jackson, and a sister, Rika Mabrey of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
