EAST PRAIRIE -- Beauton Bowles, 83, of East Prairie, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 1994, at her residence. She was born Feb. 20, 1910, at Chester County, Tenn., daughter of Oscar and Annie Arnold Riley. She married Wilburn C. Bowles in 1956. He died Dec. 4, 1973...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Beauton Bowles, 83, of East Prairie, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 1994, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 20, 1910, at Chester County, Tenn., daughter of Oscar and Annie Arnold Riley.

She married Wilburn C. Bowles in 1956. He died Dec. 4, 1973.

Bowles lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of the Palistine Baptist Church in Montezuma, Tenn.

Survivors include two sons, Brad Bowles and Cletus Atkinson, both of East Prairie; two brothers, Stacey Riley and Ello Riley, both of Henderson, Tenn; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie, with Bro. Ed Jolley officiating.

Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
