Funeral service for Alvin "Fritz" Zierath, 101 S. Benton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. The Rev. Zierath, 70, died Monday, Jan. 3, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born June 28, 1923, at Egypt Mills, son of Herman E. and Josephine Fornkohl Zierath.

Zierath farmed in the Egypt Mills area all his life, and was a member of Trinity Church there.

Survivors include two sisters, Erna Graden of Egypt Mills, and Alma Koessel of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
