MOUNDS, Ill. -- Elizabeth Long, 45, of Mounds, died Monday, Jan. 3, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Raymond and Margaret Porter Merritt.

Long had worked at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Robinson of Mounds; three sons, Terry Jr. and John Tucker of Mound City, Douglas Long of Mounds; three sisters, Virginia Helton and Judy Mellenthin of Mounds, Ruby Kohohlaas of Coulterville; four brothers, Byron Merritt of Litchfield, Kenneth Merritt of Mound City, Robert Helton Jr. of Mounds, Jeff Helton of Cairo, and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Mounds. The Rev. Ernest Browning will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
