MATTHEWS -- Helen L. Lomax, 69, of Matthews, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born April 14, 1924, in Yakima, Wash., daughter of Aubrey and Clara Deane Lumert. She and J.B. Lomax were married Oct. 4, 1941, in Portageville. He died Jan. 31, 1983.
Lomax was a member of Clayton Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Lomax of Sikeston, Richard Lomax of Dade City, Fla.; two daughters, Glenda Lomax of Sikeston, Mary Gillum of Essex; two brothers, Jim Lumert of West Plains, Dean Lumert of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Sarah Kelso of St. Louis, Shirley DeLong of Matthews; a half sister, Andrea Harrell of South Carolina, and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Keith Wilson will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
