CHARLESTON -- Ruth Christine Burdeen, 79, of Chicago, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1994, at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.

She was born Dec. 4, 1914, in the Deventer community of Mississippi County, daughter of Clement and Theresa Rommel Furlong.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Kees of Houston, Texas; a brother, Eugene Furlong of Vallejo, Calif.; two sisters, Sue Newell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Billie Sadick of Memphis, Tenn.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. Matt Palmer will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Monday.
