SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Funeral service for Leslie H. Isreal of Sedgewickville will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. The Rev. Kelly Francis will officiate, with burial in Lixville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30 a.m. to service time.

Isreal, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Griffithville, Ark., daughter of Henry and Gladys Kelly Strickland. She and J.B. Isreal were married Oct. 11, 1941. He died March 5, 1992.

Isreal was a member of the Church of Christ at Scopus.

Survivors include three sons, James Isreal of Sedgewickville, Wayne Isreal of Newark, Ohio, Ronnie Isreal of Perryville; two daughters, Shirley Miller of Sedgewickville, Kathy Griffard of Ste. Genevieve; two sisters, Codean Jobe of Vilonia, Ark., Marie Richards of Bald Knob, Ark.; four brothers, Robert Strickland of New Port Richey, Fla., Beldon Strickland of Judsonia, Ark., Dale Strickland of Kokomo, Ind., Daurel Strickland of Morrilton, Ark.; 16 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.
