WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Edwin B. Fitch, 96, of Wolf Lake, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 1994, at City Care Center in Anna. He was born Aug. 15, 1897, the son of James N. and Margaret Briden Fitch. He married Effie Lockart on March 15, 1922 in Anna. She preceded him in death April 7, 1992...WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Edwin B. He is survive by a son and daughter-in-law, George and Gerry Fitch of Anna; a foster daughter, Sally Clemens of St. Louis, and one grandchild.
He was a veteran of World War I, a charter member of the Cobden American Legion Post 259 and a member of the Makanda Baptist Church. He was a retired school bus driver.
The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Murrell McGowan officiating. Internment will follow in the Cobden Cemetery will full military honors. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
