PERRYVILLE -- Daniel Franklin Agnew, 88, of St. Louis, formerly of Perryville, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 1994, at the Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Louis.

He was born April 9, 1905, at Rockwood, Ill., son of Elias and Bertha Williams Agnew.

He married Erline Gagnepain, Nov. 5, 1924.

Agnew was a retired foreman for the Shoe Factory in Perryville.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Fr. Francis Agnew C.M. of Perryville; two daughters, Sr. Marie Patricia Agnew and Sr. Mary Philip Jane Agnew, both of St. Louis; a sister, Magdeline Wheat of Fultz, Ill.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and three sisters.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. today at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Florissant, Mo., or from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Fr. Francis Agnew officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
