BLOOMFIELD -- Harold M. Merick Sr., 78, Bloomfield Route 3, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1994, at his home.

He was born April 24, 1915, in Allenville, son of Andrew J. and Effie Mae Brown Merick. He and Edith Mae Bond were married June 15, 1936, at Bloomfield. She died Dec. 20, 1993.

Merick was a farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Merick Jr. of Bloomfield, Charles Merick of Rockford, Ill.; four daughters, Jeannie White of Union, Linda Ott of Eureka Springs, Ark., Karen Lancaster of Bloomfield, Barbara Robinson of Poplar Bluff; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Bryan Davis will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
