ETHELYN C. ESTES
SCOTT CITY -- Ethelyn Catherine Estes, 84, Scott City Route 1, died Friday, Jan. 21, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 5, 1909, in St. Louis, daughter of William and Victoria Kern Corvick. She and James Fred Estes were married June 27, 1930. She was born Oct. 5, 1909, in St. Louis, daughter of William and Victoria Kern Corvick. She and James Fred Estes were married June 27, 1930. He died Oct. 2, 1985.
Estes was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, and its Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include a son, James Estes of Ballwin; a brother, Lloyd Corvick of Scott City; three sisters, Helen Davidson of Scott City, LaVerne Rogers and Darlene DeLong of Kelso; a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Church. Msgr. John Westhues will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 4 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be at 7.
