MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Wilbert L. "Woody" Travis, 74, of Mound City, Ill. died Saturday, Jan. 22, 1994 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 20, 1919 at Mound City, the son of John Williams Travis and Hannah Caldwell.

He was an army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Roger and Danny Travis, both of Cairo; one daughter, Susie Tomasselo, Chicago; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds with the Rev. John Hinman officiating.

Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
