McGEE, Mo. -- Leonard Duniphan, 88, of McGee died Friday, Jan. 21, 1994 at his home. He was born March 11, 1905 in McGee, the son of Sam and Nancy Richie Duniphan. He was a retired farmer and affiliated with the Baptist church. On April 2, 1923, he married Nancy Prince in McGee. She preceded him in death Sept. 16, 1977. McGEE, Mo. -- Leonard Duniphan, 88, of McGee died Friday, Jan. 21, 1994 at his home.

He was born March 11, 1905 in McGee, the son of Sam and Nancy Richie Duniphan.

He was a retired farmer and affiliated with the Baptist church.

On April 2, 1923, he married Nancy Prince in McGee. She preceded him in death Sept. 16, 1977. He was also preceded in death by two children.

He is survived by eight sons, Clifford Duniphan and Woodrow Duniphan, both of Granite City, Ill., Troy Duniphan, Caseyville, Ill., Elza Duniphan, Jerseyville, Ill., Grover Duniphan, McGee, Lowell Duniphan, Brighton, Ill., Levurn Duniphan, Troy, Mo., and Lishe Duniphan, Benton, Ill.; four daughters, Leda Caldwell and Jewell Benton, both of Jacksonville, Ill., Claudine Walk, Piedmont, and Brenda Cadul, St. James, Mo.; one brother, Buford Duniphan, McGee; 43 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Watkins and Son Funeral Home in Puxico after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Larry Underwood of McGee officiating and Lloyd Barks of Puxico assisting.

Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery at McGee.
