JACKSON -- Raymond "John" Pfeiffer, 68, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 15, 1925 at Shawneetown, son of Hermann Pfeiffer and Hilda Bachmann Pfeiffer.
He married Alice Koenig Feb. 4, 1950, at St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Pfeiffer of Oak Ridge, Michael Pfeiffer of Columbus, Miss.; daughter, Pat Thomas of Perryville; sister, Alice Achord of Alva, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Pfeiffer served in Navy during World War II.
He was a member of American Legion Post 133 at Perryville and VFW, Post 4282 of Perryville. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.
He was semi-retired, and worked at Fruitland Dressed Meat.
Funeral services will be today at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
