Stanley B. Whitson, 83, 1204 W. Cape Rock Drive, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 1994, at his home. He was born June 2, 1910, at Cardwell, son of William Harrison and Effie Jones Whitson. He married Lillian Lorene Dalton, who died April 7, 1950. Whitson was a lineman with Missouri Utilities; retired in 1963 as electrician for the city of Campbell, and then was electrician for the SEMO District Fair Board. He was a member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge. Whitson served in the Army Engineers during World War II...

Stanley B. Whitson, 83, 1204 W. Cape Rock Drive, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 1994, at his home.

He was born June 2, 1910, at Cardwell, son of William Harrison and Effie Jones Whitson. He married Lillian Lorene Dalton, who died April 7, 1950.

Whitson was a lineman with Missouri Utilities; retired in 1963 as electrician for the city of Campbell, and then was electrician for the SEMO District Fair Board. He was a member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge. Whitson served in the Army Engineers during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Mike Whitson; a daughter, Jeanie Haertling, both of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, brother and sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
