EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Maggie Mae Grigery, formerly of East Prairie, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Gaylon Butler will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Grigery, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

She was born Oct. 26, 1905, in Wyatt, daughter of George and Molly McClain Parr. She and Sylvester Grigery were married June 27, 1920, in Cairo, Ill. He died June 26, 1939.

Grigery was a member of the United Pentecostal Church here.

Survivors include three sons, LeRoy and Leslie Grigery of Sikeston, Weslie Grigery of Warrenton; three daughters, Kathryn Miller of Festus, Sylvia Oliver and Shirley Duffie of Bernie; 45 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, a son, four brothers and a sister.
