TAMMS, Ill. -- Mabel Grant, 84, of Tamms, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 5, 1994, at her residence.

She was born July 14, 1909, at Vicksburg, Miss., daughter of Tom and Kate Scott.

She married John Grant, April 9, 1945, at Chicago. He preceded her in death.

Grant was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Tamms, Ill.

She was a past president of the First Aid Nurses Board and served as treasurer of the Alabama Club at West Point.

Survivors include a son, Ezell Jordan of Tamms; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. today at the Second Baptist Church in Tamms.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at the Second Baptist Church in Tamms, with the Rev. J. L. Posey officiating.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Spencer Heights Memorial Park Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
