DIANE SHACKLES

Diane Shackles, 45, of 2426 Windy Hill Lane, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 1994, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 25, 1948, at Conway, Ark., daughter of Phillipand Erma Lee Trafford Mallett.

She married Kenneth Shackles, June 24, 1967, at Chaffee.

Shackles worked for 18 years in the garment industry, as a secretary for Buckstein in Chaffee and as a sewing operator for Ralph Edwards and Thorngate in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau.

Shackles was a 1966 graduate of the Delta High School and remained active with the Cape Girardeau Swim Team.

Survivors include her mother; her husband; a daughter, Christian Janell Shackles of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Edward Mallett of Smithton, Ill.; and a sister, Joan Horrell of Glennon, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Miles White officiating.

Burial will follow in the Friends Hill Cemetery in Oran.
