DELLA MAE JONES

SIKESTON -- Della Mae Jones, 70, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 31, 1923, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of John H. and Minnie Adams Eskew.

She married Morris A. Jones, Jan. 7, 1951, at Piggott, Ark.

Jones was a retired bank teller for Lindwood Trust, in Kansas City, Mo.

She had lived in Sikeston for the past eight years. She was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Joy Schaffer of Sikeston; a brother, John H. Eskew Jr. of Cahokia, Ill.; two sisters, Grace Thurston of Bernie, Mo., Helen Diaz of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with Johnny Hester officiating.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.
