SIKESTON -- Jennifer Nichole Matthews, 17, of Carlsbad, Calif., died Saturday, March 5, 1994, from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born May 5, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nev., daughter of Fred and Candy Matthews. She was a senior at Carlsbad High School, where she was a cheerleader and on the yearbook staff...

SIKESTON -- Jennifer Nichole Matthews, 17, of Carlsbad, Calif., died Saturday, March 5, 1994, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She was born May 5, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nev., daughter of Fred and Candy Matthews. She was a senior at Carlsbad High School, where she was a cheerleader and on the yearbook staff.

Survivors include her parents; a brother, Matt Matthews; a sister, Stacey Matthews, both of Carlsbad; paternal grandmother, Helen Matthews of Sikeston, and maternal grandparents, Rowe and Gloria Harvey of San Diego, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 1-2 p.m. Friday.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
