DONGOLA, Ill. -- Gilbert Carl Eddleman, 71, of Dongola, died Tuesday, March 8, 1994, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born March 15, 1922, in Dongola, son of Grover Cleveland and Fannie Emma Brown Eddleman. He and Violet Mowery were married July 1, 1957.

Eddleman was a member of First Baptist Church, Union County Farm Bureau, and Dongola Lodge 581 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cheryl Honey of Metropolis, Carole Brown and Judy Ritchey of Dongola; two stepdaughters, Deborah Johnson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Brenda Dixon of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Loren Eddleman of Anna; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home here after 5 p.m. today. Masonic service will be at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Lucian Bozarth and Mike Van De Walle officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
