ROSENA BARNETT

SIKESTON -- Rosena Barnett, 79, of 702 Montgomery in Sikeston, died Thursday April 14, 1994 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident on Highway 61 north of Sikeston.

She was born April 23, 1914 in Searcy, Ark., the daughter of James Franklin and Francis Bone Hill. On Jan. 29, 1934, she married Claud W. Barnett in Kennett, who preceded her in death on June 22, 1979

She was a housewife and member of Smith Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include: one son, Lee W. Barnett of Roscoe, Ill.; two daughters, Carolyn Dickerson of Winfield, and Katie Eatherton of Elgin, Ill.; one brother, Jay Hill of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Beatrice Poteet of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters; another sister, Beulah Williams, also died in the auto accident.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with Rev. Larry K. Arnold, pastor of the Smith Avenue Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
