CECIL J. BECHTLOFFT

Cecil J. Bechtlofft, 76, of Vincennes, Ind., died Sunday, April 17, 1994, at a nursing home there.

He was born Dec. 17, 1917, in Elkville, Ind., son of Julius E. and Grace Crews Bechtlofft. He and Doris Burns were married April 23, 1939, in Elkville.

Bechtlofft was manager of the Kroger store here seven years, and was transferred to Kroger in Vincennes in 1957.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pamela Newman of Henderson, Ky.; two sisters, Thelma Barenkamp of Cape Girardeau, Dorothy Fiske of Tucson, Ariz., and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and sister.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Gardner's Funeral Home in Vincennes.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Methodist Church in Vincennes, with the Rev. Robert Gordon officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at Elkville Cemetery.
