CAIRO, Ill. -- Ruth Martin, 72, of Cairo, Ill., died Saturday, June 11, 1994 at the Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

She was born Aug. 30, 1921 in Graves County, Ky., the daughter of Benjamin and Fannie Jackson Webb.

She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.

She is survived by three sons, Edward Hopper, Cairo, Billy R. Hopper, Vale, N.C., and Robert B. Martin, Lincolnton, N.C.; one sister, Elsie Hawley, Chaffee; one brother, Ernest Webb, Gibson City, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, Ky. with the Rev. Bill Gholson officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
