SIKESTON -- Sue Ann Parr, 92, of Sikeston, formerly of Bertrand, died Sunday, June 12, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born May 21, 1902, at Bardwell, Ky., daughter of Willis E. and Maggie Krauss Murphy.
She married Raymond A. Parr, Dec. 11, 1920. He died July 1, 1974.
Parr lived in Bertrand most of her life, where she attended the Bertrand United Methodist Church.
At age 85, Parr became "Grandma" to all at J.D.'s Steakhouse, where she was dubbed the "oldest restaurant hostess in Southeast Missouri." She retired in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Charles "Buddy" Parr of Bertrand; six daughters, Ann Dykes of Kirkwood, Pauline Heckert, Pat Wise, Peggy Bearden and Nancy Hurst, all of Sikeston, Jane McKinley of Bertrand; 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, four brothers, a sister and three grandsons.
Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence Heckert and the Rev. Dan Stoffel officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
