JACKSON -- Pearl B. Pender, 80, of Jackson, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at Jackson Manor. She was born Feb. 12, 1914, at House Mill, daughter of James W. and Mary J. Reeves Worley. She and Ray Pender were married March 9, 1928, at Annapolis. He died March 6, 1992...

JACKSON -- Pearl B. Pender, 80, of Jackson, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Feb. 12, 1914, at House Mill, daughter of James W. and Mary J. Reeves Worley. She and Ray Pender were married March 9, 1928, at Annapolis. He died March 6, 1992.

Pender was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Goldie Benefield and Jerry Underwood of Cape Girardeau; four sons, Nelson Pender of Old Monroe, Howard Pender of Cape Girardeau, Paul Pender of Millersville, Larry Pender of Jackson; two brothers, Harrison Worley of Ste. Genevieve, Sam Worley of St. Louis; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today, and 8 a.m. to noon Thursday.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Benefield officiating.
