JIM C. BLASINGAIN

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Jim Clark "J.C." Blasingain of Ona, Fla., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Burl Britt will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park.

Blasingain, 58, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1993, at Walker Memorial Park Hospital in Avon Park, Fla.

Formerly of East Prairie, he was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Hickman, Ky., son of Robert M. and Annie V. Goff Blasingain. He and the former Lonie C. Merrymann were married Jan. 3, 1957.

Blasingain was a mechanic, and had lived in Florida about 12 years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jimmy Blasingain of East Prairie, Johnny Blasingain of Ona, Anthony Blasingain of Wauchula, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara Turner of Ona, Shirley Cogdill of East Prairie; a brother, Robert Blasingain of East Prairie; a sister, Azlee Griggs of East Prairie, and 13 grandchildren.
