SHAWNEETOWN -- Mildred Delph, 80, of St. Louis, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1992, in a St. Louis hospital. She was born June 23, 1912, near Shawneetown, daughter of Bert and Luna Cowan Holmes. She and Pink Delph were married Dec. 24, 1929. He died May 11, 1983...

SHAWNEETOWN -- Mildred Delph, 80, of St. Louis, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1992, in a St. Louis hospital.

She was born June 23, 1912, near Shawneetown, daughter of Bert and Luna Cowan Holmes. She and Pink Delph were married Dec. 24, 1929. He died May 11, 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Carlos Delph of North Carolina, Dennis Delph of St. Louis; three daughters, Betty Murdock of St. Ann, Mary Marquette of St. Charles, Florence Williams of Rocky Ridge; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and granddaughter.

Funeral service was Dec. 30 at Shepard Funeral Chapel in St. Louis. Burial was in a St. Louis cemetery.
